CSR is an activity which benefits the corporate in a 360 degree way. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has stated that the Companies Bill, 2009 should include mandatory provisions to ensure that every year at least 2% of its average net profits during the three immediately preceding financial years shall be spent on CSR activities by the company.
